Have
you ever said to yourself, "I would never
do that!"? I remember years ago, while in college
I made one of those statements. It was a time
when computer programming was a booming new field
and definitely the field to enter
into -- a time when programming was done with
punch cards (I'm definitely dating myself!).
I was walking back from class with a good friend
and somehow we started talking about things like jobs, computers and post college life. I remember
saying that I would never be in sales and that I would
never do anything with computers. Well, the first
chapter of my professional career was spent in
sales and teaching people how to use their computers
to do research. And you know what? I loved it!
During that first walk, " I don't ever want to own my own business!
Fortunately, I love every minute of it!.

Join me for this complementary teleclass -- reserve your spot today by going to http://ow.ly/1P5aa. I've always considered
myself pretty knowledgeable about what foods are
best for me, but after working with JJ and her
team for nearly a year now, I am thrilled about
what I've learned and how my understanding of what I eat has changed for the better.

Never Say
Never!
True
confessions. I once said that I would never own
my own business. I think I made that statement
because I didn’t know all of the things
that I thought you needed to know about running
a business -- marketing, PR, accounting, taxes,
HR issues, developing policies and procedures
etc. I doubt that I'm the only small business
owner to have those overwhelmed feelings.
Erin Verbeck, Branding and Small Business Expert
at The Joy of Marketing recently interviewed
me about this very subject for their blog. In
the blog topic, Calm the Craziness of Owning Your Own Business,
I share 5 strategies to calm the "I'm overwhelmed"
sensation of entrepreneurship. According to Erin
"one of my favorite things Ann Michael
shared was that entrepreneurs should be intelligent
but lazy, which sounded weird to me because I
know as entrepreneurs we are anything BUT lazy".
I invite you to listen to the interview and pick
up some great tips to help you develop a laser
focus on what really needs to be done to grow
your business. The interview can be found here.
Be sure to comment on the blog and let me know what your favorite tip was and why!

Print
Only What You Want
Have you ever just wanted to print part of what you are viewing in a document or website? You may not want to waste ink and paper printing the whole thing. It does vary from printer to printer, but here's the trick:
- Highlight with your cursor
the area that you want to print
- Click Print, and when the
Print window opens, look for Print Options
and underneath it choose "Selection".
This means you only want to print what is selected
on the page.
Again, printers vary so if you don't see "Selection"
look for something similar.
